HONG KONG, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SailGP today announced American Express as Title Sponsor of the inaugural American Express Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix, as the Rolex SailGP Championship prepares for its highly-anticipated debut in one of Asia’s most influential lifestyle and entertainment destinations on January 23-24, 2027.

The sponsorship will put American Express at the heart of SailGP’s Hong Kong debut, connecting Cardmembers with special access and premium experiences around the city. These include a Cardmember priority booking ahead of wider ticket sales, exclusive savings on ticket purchase as well as other race-day experiences, as the Championship opens its 2027 Season against the iconic backdrop of Victoria Harbour.

As Title Sponsor of the Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix, American Express will be integrated across the SailGP Race Stadium and event experience, connecting the brand with SailGP’s unique combination of high-speed racing, premium hospitality, technology and entertainment.

As part of the announcement, SailGP also confirmed presale windows and on-sale dates for tickets to the new event, with eligible American Express Cardmembers receiving first access through an exclusive priority booking on October 21-22, 2026.

SailGP+ members will have their exclusive presale window October 23-26, before tickets go on sale to the public on October 27. Tickets are limited and fans are encouraged to get in early to avoid missing out on their place to see the world’s most exciting racing on water as identical high-tech F50 catamarans race just metres from shore at speeds exceeding 100 km/h.

The American Express Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix will mark SailGP’s first event in Hong Kong and the opening event of the 2027 Rolex SailGP Championship Season. The Championship will bring its close-to-shore stadium racing format to Victoria Harbour, transforming the waterfront into a purpose-built Race Stadium across two action-packed days.
