OMAHA, NE, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Nebraska Ivy Foundation and Beta Xi Lambda Education Foundation, the philanthropic arms of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Delta Epsilon Omega Chapter as well as Alpha Phi Alpha Beta Xi Lambda Chapter respectively, will host the 2026 Pink Ice & Black and Gold Ball on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the DC Centre in Omaha to raise funds for college scholarships and community programs benefiting local students and families.

The two foundations collectively report awarding approximately $525,000 in college scholarships. That commitment to student advocacy continues through the formal fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, from 7:06 p.m. to 12:08 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at 11830 Stonegate Drive in Omaha. Organizers expect the event to bring together community leaders, business representatives and supporters to raise funds for educational opportunities and programs benefiting the Omaha metropolitan area.

“Every scholarship represents a student who can move forward with greater confidence and a community willing to invest in that student’s success,” said Anita Johnson, President of Delta Epsilon Omega Chapter. “Through the Pink Ice & Black and Gold Ball, we are bringing people together to turn generosity into opportunities for young people in our community.”

“When we combine our resources and work toward a common goal, we can accomplish more for the families and young people who depend on our support,” said Kenneth A. Butts, President of the Beta Xi Lambda Education Foundation.

The Pink Ice & Black and Gold Ball continues a collaborative fundraising effort between the organizations, which share longstanding commitments to education, scholarship and community service. The event also highlights the role of historically Black Greek-letter organizations in mobilizing resources and building partnerships to address local needs.

“Education creates opportunities and investing in our young people is one of the most impactful ways we can strengthen our communities,” said Lavone Walker, president of the Beta Xi Lambda Chapter.
